3X Juno Award nominated Alysha Brilla is a critically acclaimed Canadian songwriter and producer who has produced herself and other artists and frequently facilitates music production programming in schools across Canada through her intentionally diverse independent music imprint, Sunny Jam Records. Music Producer Award Nominee in the pop category at the 2018 Independent Music Awards, NYC.
Brilla uses vinyl sampling, acoustic recordings, programming and experimentation to achieve a warm blend of retro vibes with a modern twist; inspired by the music she heard growing up in Brampton as well as her Indo-Tanzanian father's cultural music. Brilla is an outspoken advocate for gender representation in the music industry and the power of having women and non-binary producers creating the music heard by the world at large.
